Description
1:With a pen, number each colored gel with the number that is on the white sheet behind the colored gel.
2: Then take the colors out of the ring, keep the white sheet close to the color. But in case some are accidentally misplaced, you can easily find the correct one to place back behind the color when you are complete with the testing.
It is important to keep a white sheet behind the colored one.
3. How to test for your colors:
- Find some reading material, if at all possible, get a larger sheet of reading material so that you can overlay more colors. But books will also work.
- Place 4 colors on the page, one in each corner. Read the material through the color.
- Remove the color you do not like and place another color on the reading material. Keep removing the colors that are not working for you.
- If you find that you are liking more than 4 colors, set some aside and keep testing.
- When you have completed testing, take the colors you have chosen and check them again to see how they feel to you now.
4. What to look for when doing color testing:
- Is the reading material easier to see or harder?
- Does the color relax the eyes or create a strain?
- Does the reading material get bolder or harder to read?
- Can you feel or sense your mind relaxing as you read through the color
- Read aloud and can you hear a difference in your reading?
- Can you remember what you have read?
- Is your comprehension better?
- Do the colors encourage your reading?
4: When you find your colors, order the larger 9” x 11” size from our web. Call a Lighting company that deals with theater spot light gels and ask for Lee Filters by the number you have chosen. Or email us at donna@cerconelearning.com.
